The Huddersfield Singers 150th Anniversary season: 1875 – 2025: “O Come Emmanuel.”

Saturday 30th November, Moldgreen UR Church, 7.15pm start.

Come and join the Huddersfield Singers at the start of our 150th 1875 – 2025 Anniversary Season as we present a varied concert of choral music and brass band music celebrating the build up to Christmas in the warm and comfortable surroundings of Moldgreen United Reformed Church. We are also celebrating the 150th anniversary of Gustav Holst’s birth with a performance of his 4 part harmony piece “Christmas Day” and his “Wassail Song” specially arranged for our choir (then known as the Huddersfield Glee and Madrigal Society) in 1931 on his visit to Huddersfield. Our special guests Grange Moor Brass Band join us with their own seasonal and light-hearted music, plus we invite everyone to join us in a couple of carols to round off the evening.
